The final submission for this workshop is a written report. Think of it as a synthesis of your homeworks throughout the semester, integrating feedback from your project presentations.
Format
Required Sections
This will be a short, referenced paragraph that builds up to your research question. Think of this as a slightly expanded five-sentence argument.
This will include: (a) a description of your data, (b) a quick explanation of your quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, and (c) any additional tweaks to your methodology to answer your research question. This might be between 2-3 pages.
This will include: (a) an overview table that summarizes all the storylines, (b) a quantitative section that summarizes the selection of topic model (elbow method) and top words per topic, and (c) a qualitative section that analyzes specific texts from each storyline. It is not expected that this will go beyond 5-8 pages, but you will likely need substantial time to complete it if you haven’t been keeping up with the homework submissions.
This will be a short, referenced section with about 3-5 paragraphs. Here, discuss overarching patterns in the data, theoretical extensions suggested by your insights, practical implications of your results, limitations of your study, and directions for future work.
This will be a standard list of references in APA style. You will likely not go above or below the range of 10-20 references.
